First I’ll explain “Mortingame”: Quite simply it is a combination of our last names and we decided to use it for our blog and web address as an interesting way to combine our identities.

And that brings us to why this blog and Mortingame.org as a whole even exist. We initially came up with the idea when planning our wedding– our vision was that it could be an interesting way to provide friends and family with information about our wedding day.  It served that purpose but then struggled for an identity post wedding day. Then we got pregnant and the blog portion became a space to communicate with friends and family about our pregnancy journey and process.

Well, Ofelia was born and this space, and our by then neglected web page,  again were found wanting of purpose. Weylin spent many months daydreaming about the grand interactive site of his dreams…. But along came plans for moving our family to Paraguay.

We’ve now been to Paraguay and back, and have settled in Cleveland. We’re keeping busy with our 1.5 children and toiling away at two PhD’s. We’ll try to keep up this blog as a communication conduit between us and our family and friends. Our hope is that we, and you, will make steady use of this space as means of staying in touch as we continue to learn from our process.

This is our effort to stay connected and to share and enrich our process through your involvement.
